Following considerable agitation by some members of the public over the safety of the newly restored pond, CHAHP commissioned an inspection by RoSPA. I am pleased to say that no issues were found and the pond was stated to be safe and not requiring any further work.
Having completed the Toyz Pond and Higher Tremarcoombe Pipewell project,there is no further work on the horizon. No-one else has come forward to join our group and Daphne, Georgie and I are beginning to feel that the physical labour is becoming too hard for us. We therefore decided at our last meeting that the Parish Projects Group should cease.
We have thoroughly enjoyed the work and projects which have brought about £125,000 into the community. It was also decided that the small amount left in our funds should be passed to the General Cemetery as the renovation of the Chapel was our previous project and we felt that it would be good to help the trustees in their work.
There will be no more news items to report from hereon.
